XF 1.3 Registration disabled - Properly removing addon

I have a Shop/Credit addon which I disabled and in turn it disabled registration. My guests simply get an error feature unavailable when joining.
What other steps must I take when disabling the addon to ensure it’s not interfering with registration?

Contact the maker of the addon for support.

Note that just disabling an addon doesn't undo the template edits. For that, you have to uninstall it.

If you are referring to template modifications which are associated with the add-on, that is incorrect.
