I didn't see how I could unhighlight a post, if I wanted to regret highlighting it.

Nicely done! kills 2 birds at once, solution & highlight.
Would be great to add highlighted post count for each user, useful for paid forums, user could earn credits or money

If you "edit" the post again, just "uncheck" the Post Highlight and resave.

Come to think of it, it might be nice to add in the "inline moderation" for post highlighting so mods/admins can highlight or unhighlight multiple posts at once?

It's available in the version I just released.

After upgrade/install you need to edit your Style Property -> Messages -> Message user info block, and check the option on.

The permission for this add-on is configured with xenforo's permission system, therefore, you can do what you like.

Allowing custom usergroup level permissions including node-level permissions if needed.
