XF 2.3 No "nonexistent Users Name" nor "Wrong Password" message while trying to login with incorrect data

On my forum, if I try to login with an nonexistent username the login page just refreshes. But there's no message to the user of what went wrong leaving them confused.
Same thing if you enter an incorrect password, no error message it just refreshes.
Is this how it's supposed to work?
