XF 2.2 Moving Site to New Domain

I'm using Akeekba Solo to backup my site, and will be using its Kickstart app to move the backup to the new domain. Am I correct in presuming I still need to install XF on the new domain before restoring the backup? I've already downloaded a copy of XF's config file and updated it with the new domain's server and database info.

If you have a backup of the database and files, then no, you don't need to install it.

Just copy the files to the server directory, update the config file, and import the DB.

You may need to navigate to /install to finalise things but in general that isn't usually required.
