Modifying conditions for content displayed by NewThreads / NewPosts / NewProfilePosts widgets is complicated

Widgets NewPosts and NewThreads setup thread finder instances right within method render.

This does make it somewhat difficult to modify finder behaviour (eg. to add further conditions).

Could this be changed so those widget instead use a method setupFinder to setup the finder?

Just hit the same wall again ...

It would really be useful if the finder could be accessed without ugly workarounds.
