Good morning folks,
I've recently purchased the software and begun the set up process, but honestly I didn't even consider the legal side of hosting a forum, and now I want to cover my behind incase I ever go anywhere with what I'm doing.
To give a little context, I am a UK resident, I live and operate in the UK. I am renting a dedicated machine from Hetzner which is located in Germany.
Is the out of the box privacy policy, and terms of service enough to cover me, or should I be looking into other bits.
I've also read a little able Impressum. This requires me to set up some kind of PO box, or attach my real details to it. I don't plan on paying for a PO box as honestly it is not worth it and I don't want to supply my real details to anyone who just views the site. Would this mean it would be better to just change server locations to avoid this?
Has anyone got experience with this, and if so are they able to point me to things I might need to consider?
