Apparently some of my users were searching my site on duck duck go and the first results were posts from my test site even though my test site is currently not active.

Is there a way to not have my test forums show to the general public?

Password protect the directory is one way.

I also have an IP address protect in htaccess.

e.g. put your own IP address in

order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from 123.123.123.123

Only works if you have a static IP.

In fact the terms of the XenForo licence dictate that this is not visible to the public (and bots)
