Is it possible to disable a node without changing permissions

I want to setup some nodes with all of their permissions set correctly, but disable the nodes until a date that we choose to launch it. Is it possible to disable a node from being seen by all rather than simply changing permissions for each group

Just change the main View permission to No for the Registered user group.
