XF 2.1 is it possible to delay / pause the "permission rebuild" when adding new forums?

Every time I add a new node (or change node permission settings) my system takes 15 - 20 minutes to "rebuild permissions"... which is fine, except when I need to make a few dozen changes and this process takes a full day.

Is there any way to tell XF to NOT rebuild after each change? Ideally I would like to make all of my changes and then rebuild one time.

How many nodes and user groups do you have?

the "full day" comes from needing to create / set permissions for 20 - 30 new nodes and having the system rebuild each time

we have ~300 nodes and 60k users

users need to pay to access ~250 of those nodes. they are granted access individually

Ahh, that makes more sense.

The permission rebuild is triggered via a separate job and there's nothing built in to prevent it running.

It would require an add-on to control it via the UI.
