Inline Moderation broken in Private Nodes

When using private nodes (Forums > Node permissions > node > check "Private Node -- If selected, users will only be able to view this node if they are explicitly granted permissions.") inline moderation is broken, only Deselect All option will be available, but none of the expected moderation tools will be available e. g. move thread or merge post.

• Permissions from User group Administrative even if explicitly set on the private node won't work for inline moderation (I have set all forum moderator permissions to Yes).
• Super Moderator permissions in Groups & Permissions > Staff > Moderators won't work for inline moderation (I have checked all forum moderator permissions).
• Moderator permissions on the node won't work for inline moderation (I have checked all forum moderator permissions).
• Groups & Permissions > User groups > Administrative won't work for online moderation (I have set all forum moderator permissions to Yes).
• According to Groups & Permissions > Analyze permissions it should work, but inline moderation only shows Deselect All.

In other words, you cannot merge any posts or move any threads using inline moderation in private nodes / you cannot use inline moderation at all. You can only select and deselect threads / posts, but no moderator tools are available through inline moderation. However, all other moderator tools are working fine. You can move threads, edit posts, delete threads etc. just inline moderation is broken.

Something strange is going on and I cannot figure it out. I have the following Super Moderator permissions (see below), however when I select two posts using Inline Moderation and trying to merge those two posts, the Inline Moderation bar below only offers me Deselect all. Same when I select multiple threads and try to move them to a different forum, the Inline Moderation bar below only offers me Deselect all.

What am I doing wrong? I am using XenForo for almost a decade now and I never felt so stupid. Moving an individual thread works fine, when I use the More Options menu instead of...

I can reproduce this behavior on two of my forums. No third party Add-Ons are installed, just the official XF Add-ons and no template modifications. The privileged User is member of Registered (primary) and member of Administrative (secondary).
