XF 2.3 Image in Featured is not responsive

Image in the first Featured thread is not responsive in Safari (MasOS). Is it a known bug or something is wrong on my side?

The same image is not displayed in the same way, the featured content is badly displayed IMHO.

Yah, I wish the system would use thumbnail images and resize when necessary as well, especially for mobile.

What I do now is make the first image in my articles "smaller" as XF crops it to 1280x1280, and then a 5:3 ratio shows the center section.

For us, the article writer uses a Photoshop template to consider safe zones within that "cover art" photo.

On the one hand, I am satisfied that the XF team sticks to its core business of forum software. On the other hand, I wish there were more consideration for those who also use XF as a "blog-type WP replacement."

Well, just displaying the featured threads images on any type of home page or even forum index these need to be resized, small images. Site speed load is a huge factor in retaining users, and google ranks... so having huge images on those pages is never a good thing. Especially if the client can't display it anyway, like on mobile. I consider this a vital part of forum software
