Ideas on a Meaningful User Title Ladder

Anyone care to kick around ideas for the User Title Ladder?

I've always used post count, but I'm trying to come up with something more presentative of a user's value to other users on our forum.

My thinking:

Current/Default:
Title Ladder uses message count.

Proposed:
Award trophy points for both message count.
Award trophy points for reaction score.
Title Ladder Uses Trophy Points
