Hundreds of Spam Bots on Website!!! Help??

As you can obviously tell by my website that was bombed by bots, before we even started getting real people online:

I have a small problem.... I need a way to delete ALL users, AND remove all the spam in the chat..... I have tried through XenForo, but it would literally take 100's of hours to delete them all one by one... Someone told me there is a way for me to delete them all instantly through cPanel. Can anyone help me!!

They just about always target forums from search or direct lists

It use to be even easier to target forums when they use to show the version numbers in the footer (but it was eventually realised, the version number was also being used for security exploits, hence we rarely now see forums with forum versions exposed publicly)

I went for the brand free version for this very reason, to hold off the spam attacks until I had designed something to prevent them

Would be nice if we could create an image of the Forum software by XenForo footer. Would this go against our TOS?

Funnly enough, I did that on my MyBB forum since they allowed it
But I dont think you can change the XenForo copywrite

FoolBotHoneyPot Stopped 100% of my bot spammers , but I only get hit with 30 to 50 attempts a day, it would be intresting to see if it works 100% with forums that are getting hit hard with bots

(also, StopCountrySpam stopped the majority of the non bot spammers)

is it possible for you to combine both add-ons (FoolBotHoneyPo&StopCountrySpam) in one add-on? i think that would be one of the best solutions for bots an non bots spammers problem

I've been using this since the beginning and have 0 spam. I just would also rather not be a target because of a copyright notice. StopSpamHere also uses a hidden registration field check. Bots fill them all in and this triggers a hit.

I use them both in combination, I've also seen some fourms use FoolBotHoneyPot in combination with sonnb-stop-spam-here

I do have a few other plug-ins to design, but yes a combination (or suite) is planned

IP banning is not effective in cases like this. It's better to implement Q&A or a spam database or third party captcha:

Could you please give me a "step-by-step" guide of how to set it up, so that only registered users who have been a member at the Forum for a certain time or have posted a certain amount of threads in the Forum, to be able to send a "Private Conversation" to another user ?

I still did not figure out how to set-up different "usergroups", in order to implement this. Could anyone please help me on this?

Is there any other idea to prevent this?

That works, but it leaves behind many joined records so it's not a very "clean" solution.

BTW, how would you (or anyone) of suggested cleaning up 1,000 spam accounts, all with new threads and post in xenforo?
My site is very slow today, I'm not sure if it's my server or the way I cleaned these up.
Is there anything I can do to fix the current setup?
I'm removing a few mods that don't really get used and optimizing the database, hope that helps.
