You should look at UI.X from @Audentio. waindigo use this skin and the thing you want to remove is already an option of this skin.
You could also try ".nodeControls, .nodeLastPost {display:none;}" in EXTRA.css
I don't know if these class are used an other way but it's basically what you want, if I still understand english ^^'
