Hello all,

I have big issues with Indian people who are coming and spamming on my website and I have to delete/ban accounts several times per day and it becomes annoying.

How do I block IP address and registrations for this country?

Thanks.

You would need to block any and all IP addresses/ranges in use, or use iptables on the server.

You can search the web for sites which may list all addresses/ranges.

If it's registrations that are the issue, Ozzie's spaminator is very good. I use that. Now managed by Xenbaker. It says deleted but it's just run by Xenbaker now - see end of thread. Other than that, set up first post for manual approval.

I only block registration, I allow the countries to view and decided not to block the contact form because I have contact form spaminator, just in case a legitimate user from India needs access he can use the contact form to contact me.

It works like a charm

PS combine it with Andys block VPN and redtrict registration to VPN's so users cant use a VPN to appear from another country. Again I allow VPN's but not for registration.

Here is how both addon controls look

You are answering to a thread that is more than ten years old. I'd assume the problem has been solved since the question was posted back in April 2016. ;)
