How customizable is XF2, if let's say we wish to use it as the framework to build twitter-like site?

I love xenforo 1.5 and with it I build a great community and was handsomely reward for it. There is a sad turn here, 1.5 isn't quite easy to bud a larger addon and I have failed and was scammed several times believing in getting a decent dev helping me to build. Ithe end, everyone said it is too hard.

SO I wonder, is XF2 is different? Is it easier to implement new features and do we have a larger and talented pool of developers here?

A lot easier compared to XF 1 for sure. Loads of improvements from add-on developer perspective.
