I'm sorry if this question has been beaten like a drum. I couldn't locate it anywhere.

How does one go about in setting up the forum so the word "community" isn't listed in the web address when on the Forums page or in any sub-forum for that matter?

Hello Brogan,

Thanks for the quick reply. It is installed in the domain root (public_html). Is there a specific folder that needs to be placed somewhere?

If XF is installed in the domain root then 'community' shouldn't be in the URL, unless you have made some changes e.g. using the route filter function.

I recently upgraded through Xenforo. I didn't do the upgrade myself. In Basic options, the index page route is currently set to forums/

There must be an add-on or customisation involved - XF does not have 'community' in the URL out of the box.
Prior to the upgrade I was asked to uninstall all add-ons since I was on an older version of XF 1. I have since added a few add-ons, the main one being Xenporta Pro. I'm looking to make the Home page default to the www.domainname.com and the Forums page to default to www.domainname.com/forums

You were right. It looks everything is installed in a webfolder rather than the root. Is there a guide for how to move all the application folders/files to the root? I imagine a few other things will need to be updated in Admin Cpanel as well?
