Facebook Patents

On Xenforo, you can add a status onto your account, I would have thought facebook would have put a patent on this feature making it illegal for Xenforo to use?

Twitter and MySpace were here before Facebook.

Twitter was not around before Facebook. Wikipedia articles say Facebook existed for 2 years before twitter.
