Does anyone set dob at registration?

I haven;t enabled the dob at registration previously, and am now just wondering if there is much point as people usually put fake ones in to protect their identity and no doubt anyone under 13 would put a fake one in. So is there much point having it at registration?

Also does anyone use a widget combination for selecting their age? Eg a choice between 13-18 and over 18? As that might be more effective at determining which were adults. It wouldn't stop under 13's saying they were 13-18, but teenagers are more likely to tick the right box.

And if you do, can you give me a tip where to get them? I've only seen an option for one widget saying I am over x age.

Yep. I have mine set to MA 15+ just like the tv ratings system. It's ok for them to post but they have to be supervised by one of their parents

I have mine set to 18 on my forum.

I know people lie, but it's more to cover yourself in terms of liability, from what I remember during my time working on a large forum.
