Does Anyone Accept Crypto Payments on Their Forum? Recommendations?

I'm curious if anyone here accepts cryptocurrency as a payment method on their forum. If so, how do you handle it? Are there any recommended methods, services, or integrations for doing this smoothly?

Would love to hear experiences or suggestions on the best way to implement it!

On the forum I worked on previously (I know I'm starting a lot of my posts with this...), cryptocurrency payments were accepted for memberships, thread edits for the marketplace, and marketplace listings.

At first, CoinGate was used, but they had issues with that one, so they switched to Coinbase. I handled those upgrades at one point, and from my experience, it worked fairly well. There was a system tied to the company's Microsoft Teams to send alerts whenever a crypto payment was received, that way other employees didn't require access to the company's crypto accounts.

The way we handled it was by sending in an invoice to the customer and then sending them a payment request with a link to a crypto payment processor. Once the invoice was showed as being paid and the transaction was completed, we just manually upgraded the users or completed whichever action they required.

For a less complicated of handling it, you could probably get away with just accepting crypto payments to a wallet address and manually doing whatever they're requesting. It really depends on how you want to approach it.
