I have Xenforo installed in domain.com/forum. I bought an addon domain, newdomain.com, and hoped I could set things up via redirect so that forum users would assume they were using a forum at newdomain.com/forum.
However, while the redirect works in that if you type in newdomain.com/forum it lands on domain.com/forum. However, it completely unmasks the original URL.
I changed the board url to newdomain.com/forum, which is what Xenforo Support recommended, but now I get a license mismatch error, and the unmasking issue has not been resolved.
I have another domain (though not a forum) that works exactly as I want this Xenforo setup to work, so I am confused about why this redirect causes unmasking.
Is there any way to fix this without having to physically move the forum? Thank you!
