Disable thread bumping when replying?

Is there a plugin to disable the bumping of a thread when you reply?

All the plugin has to do is block the updating of last_post_date in xf_thread.

I am hoping there is a plugin for this that can be enabled on select nodes.

I'd love this, too. Sometimes it is nice to be able to add a bit more information to a thread without bringing it to the top.

It would probably be better to install an add-on that allows you to change the default sort order for a node. I believe there is an old Ragtek add-on that will do that. You can find it here:

With that installed, you could set a particular node to sort by thread start date, so the default thread display order would be unaffected by new replies.
