XF 2.2 Did Xenforo change something in the group hierarchy?

So I have a VIP group that, before the update, sat below a member group and had a certain name effect, now something seems to have broken with the Display styling priority because that effect is no longer working and when I try to have the VIP group below in priority it has no effect on the users profile pre-update.

That's odd, I distinctly remember the hierarchy being as seen below, however, after the update, it stopped appearing. How can I have the Member banner atop of the VIP banner, with the VIP effects taking priority?

The banner stacking order is based on the user group display styling priority.

There is nothing built in which allows for specific ordering of banners.

Aside from banner stacking, is it possible to have the banner styling take effect while being in low priority?

If you mean the user group styling, that always comes from the group with the highest display styling priority.
