Most vB3 users that uploaded attachments to their posts did so in what appeared to be a normal way of selecting and uploading photos. Then after posting, the images appeared in a single line at the bottom of their text, no problem at all. The IMPORT script handled these perfectly.
A few users on vB3 when uploading attachments found a different method that was originally intended to place their photos inside the post near their referenced text, which when formatted properly might be great, but complex.
The problem is that most users simply pressed this button and left a pile-up of [ ATTACH ][ /ATTACH] images in a vertical mess of a column. The simple way out of this was to simply edit out ALL of the attachment links from the text and then after saving, the photos all lined up at the bottom of the post, no problem at all. The EDIT TYPE button allowed viewing with or without text formatting.
In summary, XenForo allowing a choice of full-size photo or thumbnail is wonderful. The problem is that editing out the [ ATTACH][/ATTACH] pileup can create a mess that's worse than what was there before! There appears to be no way to set EDIT TYPE to turn or off hidden formatting.
