Does Xenforo support node text colour so i could do this..

HTML is not allowed in node titles, so no.

You can use CSS to add stuff before or after specific nodes. That might work for your purposes. See this thread:

Thanks , i believe it was you who also introduced me to 'Nodes as Tabs', could you tell me how to do drop down menu using it please?

It is all controlled with nodes. Create a node with children that will be links in the popup menu. Then make the parent into a tab with child links and a popup menu. Here is an example:
