Hi,

The bug happens on another forum running Xenforo but is it something in the forum software?

Cannot mark as read one of my watched threads

I have a thread in my watched threads that I cannot mark as read. Each time I mark it read, it seems to work (the UI changes as if it was marked read), but then if I close then reopen macrumors.com, I have a badge showing one watched thread unread, and when I go back to the list of watched...

They are aware of it, but how can they fix it?

They need to investigate why it's happening and resolve it on their end. Or if they find it's a bug, the owner can report it as a bug here.

I've observed an issue similar to the one noted by the original poster, on a forum that I frequent. (I'm not the owner; just a user.) Recent comments in that forum have led me here in search of more input. The forum in question is on the MacRumors website, and the thread discussing the topic is here:

The issue has existed for about a year, and the nearly identical topic title to this thread seem to suggest that maybe the original query here was asked by another user on that very forum. Your response here back in January seems to suggest that you believe the issue has something to do with the backend database. Can you elaborate on that?
