I want to avoid creating a forum page a mile long. So each pet has its own section with its own species. If this is possible, could you be kind enough to explain how please and thank you. Can I create a toolbar menu at the top of my webpage that has buttons that say Dogs, Cats, Birds, etc like other non forum websites. For example:

www.domain.com/forum/dogs
-Beagles
-Boxers
-Rottweiler
-Doberman
-etc...

www.domain.com/forum/cats
-Persian
-Siamese
-Russian Blue
-Bombay
-etc...

www.domain.com/forum/birds
-Cockatiel
-Parrot
-Parakeet
-Budgerigar
-etc...

Hello,

1/ You can activate a unique page for each category in ACP > Configuration > Basics settings > Forum List
2/ You can set the home page to not be the forum list in ACP > Configuration > Basic settings > Forum information
3/ You can create a page node to be the home page with widget or custom content in ACP > Forums > Create a forum > Page node

You can also check out this add-on. It would allow you to create the 3 tabs (Dogs, Cats, Birds) and when you click those tabs you would see those nodes only.

The built in public navigation feature will also allow custom navigation tabs to be created for each node/forum.
True but the add-on removes them from the forum home so it looks like another forum. Something like that, I just discovered it the other day.
