Following a vB import, I'd like to rationalize the number of usergroups so they're more in keeping with XF permissions structure (and so there are fewer usergroups to update when anything needs to change).
If Usergroup X (non-staff, non- admin, non-moderator, really no special permissions beyond Registered) contains say 100 members and I simply delete that usergroup, what happens to the members of that group? Do they simply revert to Registered? or do they end up in limbo somewhere?
In the import process, since these were primary usergroups in vB they were imported as a primary usergroup (i.e., not Registered with the old vB group as secondary).
Obviously, it would be a pain to have to do this manually for each member of the old usergroups.
What is the best procedure for moving whole members of an old usergroup to Registered?
