I have been playing a lot with AI lately and learning a lot and I ended up using Google Gemini 2.5 Pro's new LLM model to recreate one of my own favourite games - Atari Missile Command. I put my spin on it with a top score leaderboard, in-game store with upgradeable weapons and also end-of-game AI gameplay analysis via Google Gemini 2.0 Flash. Let's see how you folks rank https://missile-command-game.centminmod.com/ :D

I was never the gamer in my circle but I certainly remember this. No doubt I would be just as terrible at this type of game today as I was 40 years ago. (Oh crap, made the mistake of checking when Missile Command came out. It's actually 45 years now.😧)

Amazing! I got to level 38, then the level didn't end, so I'll take that as a win? 😄
It's an occasional bug. It will time out and end the wave eventually so if you wait a bit. Will need to get it fixed.

Updated game with three new types of shield bombs that have 3 layers of shielding you have to get through :)

So this thing is coded entirely by AI? Man that's amazing.
Yup, the first version was entirely done by Gemini 2.5 Pro via Gemini Advanced. Then, new features were added or extended with some assistance from Claude 3.7 Sonnet via Claude AI Pro and Gemini 2.5 Pro via Cline with Visual Studio Code editor.

Cool game. I briefly reached the Top 20 leaderboard.

When can we expect the XF add-on with DBTech Credits compatibility and links to the trophy system? 🤣

Cheers, see you on the leaderboard. I updated it to show top 1000 scores now instead of top 50 :) Probably no anytime soon hehe.
XFArcade ?

which trackball does it support ? :)
XFArcade would be nice as a user retention feature :)

The most fun Missile Command was for the Atari 2600.

I can still hear the sound the game makes when you are out of Missiles !
Atari 2600 was before my time heh. Atari XEGS :D

Who do we send claims to for a new left mouse button?
LOL. FYI, it's sort of mobile responsive, you should be able to play on your mobile - only tested on Android with just tapping :)
