Ps. who voted no? Can't really understand that but I'll finish off by a thumbsup to Fred for the creation of this topic. (y)
I voted "No".

Not because of any opinion on the specific matter, but because I am against these types of holidays in general... even mothers day. I'm in the belief... Love your mother every day, or not at all. Don't pretend/fake loving your mother once a year because a holiday says you're supposed to. That is disingenuous to her, and even more disrespectful in my eyes, than if you simply ignored the holiday all together.

In that same vein: appreciate your developers everyday... don't treat them like **** all year, and then tell yourself "it's okay! we can treat them like **** because we set aside a single day of the year where things will be different!"

My IRL friends know this about me. I do not buy anyone birthday presents... If I see something I know they will like, I will buy it and give it to them... not because it's their birthday, but because I knew they would appreciate it. In fact, its usually nowhere near their birthday.

I can't argue with that. (y)

You have a radically different viewpoint, but flawless logic.

I get that a lot.

You are not alone, whilst I do celebrate birthdays and other special occassions I do not celebrate with the vigor that other people might do with. I too generally "treat" my friends, family and children with things all year round.

We have shown that we take the issue of providing a structured support system for add-ons with our Resource Manager, and I'm sorry it's not ready yet, but there are only so many hours in the day, and our number one priority has to be the core product. If we don't push ahead with XenForo 1.1 then people who would otherwise have bought a license may decide not to do so, and we are no closer to being in a position where we can employ people to share our Herculean workload. That helps nobody.
Take. YOUR. Time.

We have been waiting for upgrades before, why would that change now?
We have given the best foundation for add-on developers that we possibly could, by providing a core product with unparalleled extensibility and flexibility, while at the same time architecting the system to ensure that we do not unduly inconvenience those developers who have made use of our plugin system every time we release an upgraded version. At this point, that is the best we can do, and while we would like to do more, we simply do not have the resources to do so, and no amount of pointed criticism from you will alter that fact.
You guys are a one-year-old company, I don't think anyone expects you to have a million resources pronto...

I support XF Dev-Day and voted yes....but should this be realized and celebrated as an annual ritual and is published places as I believe it would...this should be worked into the posting.

On another note....

exactly this (y), I don't like presents at all...that is too formal...I would rather take the presentation out of present and hand out a ration and forget about it.
