you can't if you mean that you select one and then have a second option show up based upon your choice.
that would take a plug in to do.
you have to have two fields.
one for the make.
another for the model.
or you could have one field for each make and then drop downs for models in it.
but that would be a long list to scroll through.
i think what you are wanting to do has been suggested before.

Lack of interest Thread 'User Field Categories - Parent/Child Custom User Fields'
In most situations, nodes will allow other nodes to be children, thus forming a parent-child relationship with each other.
It would be very useful to add this process as a standard within custom user fields.
By default, we need to control of parent/child custom user field.
However, there are some properties you can define to control their behaviors if we have do it third party add-on.
Is it possible to add parent and child association between custom fields (User Field Categories) like as below,
Custom fields can be associated with one another and set to be enabled only...

Hi everybody,
i would like to see a new conditional setting on custom fields (profile fields, thread fields,...). The new field should only appear if the condition is true.
For example, we have a YES / NO radio button question like "Have you ever met Kier, Mike or Chris in real life". If you pick yes, the new field "Where have you met them" appears.
Would love to see this since this would open a lot of custom opportunities.
