Adding an link / advert in sidebar

I want to add an advert image / link in a sidebar block but not being a coder i'm not sure how to go about it. I know how to insert the image and make it a link, etc. It's creating the sidebar block i'm not sure about.

I have the TMS installed if that helps

you can easy use the add templates.
look for ad_sidebar_XXX

Thanks, managed to add an image advert. Ideally I would like to have it in its own block but it looks fine the way i've done it.
