XF 2.2 Add a canonical to thread referencing the original article

I work with affiliate partners, and one has given consent to repost an article from their blog onto my forum on the condition that I add a canonical referencing the original article. The reposted article would be a thread in a regular discussion forum.

How can I add a canonical tag to their blog page within the thread?
