XF 2.3 A renewed request

When I get up in the morning, I find a few posts have been reported. I can easily find the post that was reported, but if I delete it, I then have to go through the entire thread to find anyone who had quoted the post that was deleted.

I'd love to see an option when I click to delete a post asking "would you like to delete all replies that quoted this post?

In some cases, there might be 20 or 30 replies and it takes a great deal of time trying to find them and delete them individually.

I'm not sure this is possible.

The quoted content is not dynamically linked (as in, it gets it by ID of the orig post). It merely becomes part of the next posts text.

you probably also don't want to arbitrarily delete a quoter's potentially correct post to the incorrect post that is being deleted.

also, since that text can be edited/trimmed/etc by the quoter, it would also be unreliable to do an update/replace on the post table.

It was possible 10 years ago. I paid somebody a few bucks to write an ad on that did exactly that and it was no problem at all.
