[Xenro] Serials – Films, Series & Anime 1.0.0 Alpha 4

[Xenro] Serials adds a film, series and anime catalogue to your XenForo forum. Members can browse titles, watch episodes, save their progress and discuss what they have watched. Administrators decide which groups can add content and where videos are stored.

Catalogue and title pages
• Poster cards with release status, episode counts, year, ratings, views and comments.
• Search by title and filter by media type, release year, genre and personal library status. Sort by latest updates, views or title.
• Categories and subcategories with their own Font Awesome icons and access restrictions.
• Synopses, alternative titles, studio, country, creators, age rating and duration. Optional text and choice fields can appear on cards or title pages.
• Optional screenshot galleries use XenForo attachments and the native lightbox.
• Link other seasons by searching existing titles. Reorder the links; their names update from the linked entries, and visitors see only titles they can access.
• Create ordered collections of selected titles.

Seasons, episodes and publishing
• Table-based title and episode management, with add/edit overlays for seasons and episodes.
• Move selected episodes between seasons, optionally renumber them, and keep their video sources and member progress attached.
• Manage regular seasons and specials. Keep episodes as drafts or schedule publication in UTC.
• Display published episode coverage, including ranges such as [1–14 of 14], and flag mismatches with the expected total.
• Move titles, seasons, episodes and sources to Trash and restore them later. Removal retains videos and viewing progress.

Player and video sources
• A custom player for supported MP4/WebM and HLS sources, with play/pause, seeking, configurable skip buttons, volume, playback speed and episode selection.
• Previous/next episode buttons and a cancellable countdown to the next episode. Members can change autoplay and automatic continuation preferences.
• Multiple source and audio/translation labels, selectable quality, WebVTT subtitles, chapter markers, intro skipping and seek previews when those assets are available.
• Keyboard controls, fullscreen and picture-in-picture where the browser supports them.
• YouTube and Rutube links use the providers' embedded players. Provider controls and restrictions continue to apply.
• Members can report playback problems through XenForo's report system.

Uploads, storage and processing
• Store private videos on the forum server or upload to S3-compatible storage. Choose the destination when uploading.
• Chunked uploads support retry and resume by selecting the same file in the same browser. Upload size limits are configurable.
• Batch-add up to 100 video files. Detect episode numbers from common filenames, review the list, choose a season and storage profile, then upload sequentially with pause and retry controls.
• Add supported HTTPS direct-video and HLS URLs alongside uploaded files.
• An optional separate worker can create video renditions, HLS streams and seek thumbnails, or copy supported video files between storage profiles with checksum verification.
• The worker uses your separately installed Python and FFmpeg. The add-on does not download executable code or install a video-processing server automatically.
• The admin control panel includes storage profiles, a connection test, upload sessions, processing jobs and a server setup guide.

Member features and discussion
• Plan to watch, Watching, Completed, On hold and Dropped library states.
• Saved playback position, watched markers and Continue watching in the catalogue.
• Five emoji rating choices, with one editable vote per member.
• Threaded comments with XenForo's editor, spoiler marking, reactions, reports and approval controls.
• Title subscriptions and native alerts for new episodes. Email notifications are optional and require working forum mail delivery.

Widgets, administration and appearance
• Add multiple carousel widgets in native XenForo widget positions, including the forum home and catalogue.
• Configure categories, media types, release states, year ranges, ordering, item limits, columns, card details, controls and optional automatic scrolling.
• Fourteen native group permissions control viewing, watching, publishing, uploads, external links, libraries, ratings and comment moderation. Category restrictions also apply.
• Dedicated admin pages for titles, categories, genres, storage, comments, media, custom fields, collections, widgets, options and documentation.
• Native style properties control poster spacing, corner radii and player colours. The interface follows XenForo's light and dark style variations.
