About the Add-on
[XenDev] Voice Message is a modern and high-performance voice messaging add-on specifically designed for XenForo 2.3+, allowing your users to record and share voice messages within seconds in forum posts and private messages (conversations). Thanks to its advanced BBCode infrastructure, voice recordings can be freely positioned inside the text editor.
Key Features
Seamless Editor Integration: Smooth voice recording with a single click, without page reload. Voice messages are inserted into the editor using the [voice=ID] BBCode as if they were a native element, and can be moved freely alongside the text.
Private Message (DM) Support: Users can communicate not only in threads, but also in private conversations.
Advanced Audio Player: Includes a modern player designed in line with XenForo’s visual language, featuring waveform animations and playback speed options such as 1x, 1.5x, and 2x.
Advanced ACP (Admin) Controls: The total size, count, and duration of all voice recordings on the server can be viewed statistically. Admins can listen to any voice message from the panel or delete them in bulk with a single click.
Automatic Cleanup (Retention Cron): Voice messages older than the number of days you specify (for example, 30 days) are automatically cleaned from the server via cron job, helping save storage space.
Full Permission Control:
Define group-based permissions for using recordings in threads and private conversations separately.
Permissions for deleting one’s own voice messages or those of other users.
Set group-based limits for maximum recording duration (seconds) and maximum upload file size (KB).
Installation
Upload the upload folder from the downloaded ZIP file to your root directory.
Install the add-on from the XenForo Admin Panel.
Requires XenDev Update Manager.
Define the necessary permissions and duration limits in User Group Permissions.
Version Requirements: XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0+
