XenCustomize Quote System v2.3.4 is released!​

The Quote System v2.3.4, is a maintenance update packed with refinements and a useful new feature.

This version introduces support for quote bookmarking, fully integrated with XenForo’s native Bookmark system. Your users can now save and organize their favorite quotes with ease.

Alongside this, we’ve made several improvements across the addon. Comment alerts, watch notifications, and template behavior have all been tightened up for better consistency. We also corrected permission checks for editing and deleting comments, added missing phrases, and cleaned up older stored data during upgrade to keep everything aligned with the current structure.

A smooth and stable update overall - recommended for all customers to upgrade.

XenCustomize Quote System v2.3.3 is released!​

This update focuses on polishing the system by fixing missing templates and phrases that caused alert issues when posts were converted into quotes. We also added a missing phrase on the authors page to clean up display errors. A small but important maintenance release to keep everything running smoothly.

XenCustomize Quote System v2.3.2 is released!​

This update is packed with major improvements that make the Quote System more powerful, interactive, and easier to manage. The comments feature has been completely rebuilt into a full comment system—similar to what you see in News Publisher—bringing a smoother experience for users and stronger moderation tools for staff. Quote pages now show view counts, support marking quotes as read for visitors, and include attachment support for comment media.

This release also introduces quote watching, giving users automatic notifications when discussions continue on quotes they’re involved in. A wide range of new permissions has been added for both users and moderators, allowing full control over who can post, react, upload media, or manage comments. Inline moderation is now supported for both comments and quotes, making cleanup and management far more convenient.

Admins get new controls too, including a “comments per page” option and a tool to rebuild comment attachment metadata. Behind the scenes, we’ve included multiple new templates, phrases, routes, cron entries, and jobs to support the upgraded system. Overall, 2.3.2 is a big step forward, bringing more flexibility, better moderation, and a richer experience for your community.

XenCustomize Quote System v2.3.1 is released!​

This update brings meaningful improvements to how author information is managed and displayed.

You now have a full editor in AdminCP for author biographies, with proper BBCode support, and the author display has been enhanced to render formatted text correctly.

For quotes without a linked author, the system now gracefully falls back to showing the quote creator’s username and avatar, making member-submitted quotes neatly represented.

Under the hood, the author description column has been renamed to biography and expanded to MEDIUMTEXT for longer content, plus a few internal cleanups and SEO metadata fixes for smoother operation.

Update now to take advantage of a more polished and flexible author management experience!
