The world's most addictive word game, built natively for XenForo. Every member of your community gets the same five-letter puzzle each day, six guesses to solve it, and a streak that resets the moment they miss a day. The result is a tiny daily ritual that drives return visits, leaderboard rivalry, and thread chatter — without you lifting a finger after install.
How it works
A new five-letter word is picked at midnight in your forum's timezone. Members visit /wordle/, type a guess, and the tiles light up green for correct position, yellow for present-but-misplaced, and gray for absent. Six tries to nail it. The on-screen keyboard tracks letter states across guesses, the physical keyboard works too, and the active row shakes if you submit a non-word.
When the puzzle is solved (or lost), a celebration modal pops with the visitor's stats, the iconic shareable colored-square grid, and a one-tap Share to thread button that posts the result straight to a forum thread you've designated. From there, members banter about today's word, compare guess paths, and watch each other's streaks climb.

The daily word picker runs on cron at 00:05 forum-time. The Datamuse refresh runs Sundays at 03:00. The seed pool ships with about 500 hand-picked common five-letter words so the game works immediately on day one.
