Overview:
- This add on will give users with the appropriate permissions the ability to change thread starters for individual threads.
- The add on adds a new permission set to groups called Changed thread starters. Set it to Yes for the group or groups that you want to change thread starters and save the changes. Now users who have the appropriate permissions will be able to change the starter of a thread by going to the thread in question and click the More options link. A new link called Edit starter has been added that changes the starter of that topic.
- Prevent changing of thread starters in selected forums which can be selected from the add on 's settings.
- Prevent changing of thread starters when thread starters belong to the protected groups which can be selected from the add on 's settings.
- After the starter of a topic has been changed, the new change will be reflected everywhere correctly, in searches, widgets, latest activity page etc.
- The message count for the previous thread starter will be subtracted by 1 and the message count for the new thread starter will be incremented by 1.
- Whenever someone changes the thread starter of a topic that action will be logged and displayed in the Moderator logs page.
