Multiple SMTP providers, sending limits and automatic failover for XenForo.

Description​

Keep forum email organized with a default provider, optional backups and separate routes for account/security emails or notifications and digests. When a provider reaches its sending limit, affected mail waits in a persistent queue for an eligible connection.

Guided setup, named provider selectors and a searchable email-category list make configuration accessible without JSON, provider IDs or wildcard syntax.

Quick setup​

1. Install the add-on and open Setup → Smart mail router → Guided setup.
2. Choose or import a provider, then explicitly send a test email to an address you control.
3. Choose the default and optional notification routes, review existing rules and enable routing.
4. Arrange a scheduler to run XenForo jobs every minute.

SMTP acceptance does not confirm inbox delivery. Interrupted submissions can be retried and may produce duplicates. Sending limits apply to this installation’s router attempts.
