Just got back from Teh Hobbit Part Dos.
Tauriel is more masculine than Legolass.
I was disappointed by the cheese fondue disguised as gold. I was hoping for them to escape by using Smaug's ADD/Catnip.
So many unnecessary changes. Beorn's bear form had blueish fur and the orcs calling him The Beast made me thinking he'd say 'Oh, my stars and garters!'
Smaug was KEWL. I liked how he played with the dorfs since he'd not had fun for like a hundred years.
What I didn't like was how Bilbo seemed dumber... "I have a magic ring... I won't use it. Durrr..."
Romance between Chick Elf and Dwarf Boy seemed forced and rushed. Legolas was pithy... and I knew that Jackson was going to shove in a reference to Gimli.
The whole Black Arrow background change didn't really make much sense to me. Nor did making the Mayor into Fat Redhead Movie Denethor with Grima Wormtongue as his toadie.
Orcs running around on Lake Town's rooftops like they're from Assassin's Creed.
WHERE WERE THE TOWN GUARDS?
Thranduil is Queen Bee of the Mirkwood Elves.
Radagast was good.
Peter Jackson in Bree and eating a carrot is a nice reference to the same thing in Fellowship.
Bard made me think of Will from Pirates of the Caribbean mixed with a bit of Inigo Montoya. I don't know why.
Morgul poison junk... I'm surprised Tauriel could heal it so easily considering Aragorn couldn't do anything about Frodo's wound in Fellowship.
