I'll have to read it at some point in the near future. As for it feeling weird... I dunno. I can understand what you mean though, I think.

Entirely up to you. I primarily just wanted to get back to it because it was fluffy and scratched my writing itch.

On that.
Um... Sure, but I need something that can really be responded to.

It's good. Also... taking a name from fanfic felt weird too. I felt like I was stealing. In a bad way.:(

Same here.. I like the stuff.. but I want to keep a certain standard up with that plotline.

... Well... we were talking about character sheet stuff... and I want to try something that has the same base idea again.
Blank sheet + God Shard = Why am I using this to get ice cream when I could rule the world?

Aand.. Thank you for working on Arrivals.
OOC is something we can talk about... and work out a few details for stuffs.

Honestly? "Good writers borrow, great writers steal." I think it works pretty well here. :D

And you're not feeling up to that? Because... I agree with the idea. Actually thinking of timeskipping after a few more posts, lest we get caught up in the discussion and not do anything.

Ah... That idea. I want to do this at some point... Because I have RPG books at home.

On it.
Great.

I'm not a great writer... RJ was a great writer. He also had a way with prose that Sanderson just can't replicate.:D Sanderson is a good writer and is efficient. Jordan was... how to put it... I don't know how to put it.:(

I'm feeling up to it... I'm just feeling restricted by the two convo limit. Well.. not entirely. I'm also wanting to have a very good outline done beforehand. Maybe I'm nervous?

Yeah. That idea. I loves it.:D Please?

Thank you. Seriously.:D
Double thank you.:D

Honestly? I have to disagree, to a certain extent. I wouldn't say that Robert Jordan was an absolutely phenomenal writer, without compare. As a writer, he's certainly very good, but not tremendously special as far as really good fantasy writers go.

What he IS however, is a great storyteller. He has an amazing story to tell, set in a very interesting world, with interesting characters.

I guess we can do three for the day... When I get back from my night work. :( Because I want to work on that convo.
Nervous? Don't be. Please?

I should write one then?
Moynal

He's certainly good at writing... and something about it just clicked with me. A lot of writers just can't seem to pull that off. Not to that extent at least.

Storyteller?

Night work?
Well... nervous.. I'll try not to be?

Please.

Arrivals, OOC, and... something?

Just going to ask... are you there?

I know the feeling. Roger Zelazny's books just... Work for me. They're good stuff, really. They need more love than they get... At least in the US.

They're not the same thing... In my head at least.

I'm doing a bit.
I'm grateful. Seriously.

On it, right after Arrivals, OOC, and... Something else.
Moynal
Moynal
I meant.. what do you mean? I'm confused on it.

Ah...
It'll help me develop my skills as a Person Who Makes Plots For RPs.:D

Yesh. Though it's part of the OOC thread... unless we want to use Doom for it?
Moynal
Moynal
I missed the top part.. yeah. It's outright depressing... and once you read good stuff? It raised your standards... a lot. To the point that reading bad stuff can actually hurt.
Is it normal to feel sad that an author died before finishing their work?
Moynal

Now I remember... Arrivals, OOC, and Hospitals.

If you'll take, say... Sanderson at his best, and compare it to Jordan, I'd say that Sanderson is probably the better writer in pure technical terms. The issue is... Jordan is better at making something ENJOYABLE.

Nice...

I guess it is part of OOC... Maybe we'll use DOOM for the actual RP itself?

I don't know about that... I think that being ble to turn off your brain and enjoy shlock like Inheritance is a valuable skill, even if I know where you're coming from.
It makes loads of sense, yes. Though I think what happened with Zelazny's books was even worse. :(
Moynal

I know that... Sanderson can write something and make it easy to read... Jordan can worldbuild. Sanderson is efficient.. Jordan is an artist.

Oh?

... Agreed. Let's do it.

Inheritance is good when it's not taking itself seriously. I usually imagine it with Eragon as a Saturday Morning Cartoon character.
Oh?
I meant stuff that I thought was the bees knees back when I was 13 and can't even read without feeling horrible for having enjoyed them now.
