XF 2.3 Is there any way to prevent people from reaching the instance -- without using the Admin CP ?

I have just setup a new instance. For whatever reason, the Admin CP is giving me a 500 error when I try to login.

But people are finding the board and it isn't ready for show yet!

Is there anything I can do?

Are you using Cloudflare? You can put up a 503 page for everyone and give just your IP addresses access - although this can be difficult if your IP address change frequently.

You can put a .htaccess password protection in place. (You can't do that if you are on XF Cloud, as it seems potentially to be the case, judjing from your other thread).

Just inactivate the board and no one but admins can access it.
