That's a fair comment. But are you also suggesting this would be difficult or impossible to accomplish with a 3rd party solution? I'm most likely going to have to hire someone to build this (if I can find someone).
I don't think it's unfair to expect a $65 "Media Gallery" to have the capability of embedding more than 1 photo at a time in a post. Even the examples above in 2.X seem rudimentary- does it support lightbox from threads? Any modern formatting options? Or it just links the thumbnails to the Media...
I've got XF running with tons of customizations and add-ons that would take weeks to migrate. Not to mention the cost of paying the web developer, Android developer, and Themer to make all the changes. Unfortunately it's just not possible right now, unless I want to lose all our functionality...
You beat me to it... this is a HUGE bummer.
How is a "Gallery" even a Gallery if you can't embed an actual gallery and instead only 1 photo at a time? Any alternative solutions that can be integrated? This is something we definitely need.
Does XFMG 1.2 currently have any method of embedding Albums (not just individual photos)? This seems like a super basic feature... can't find it anywhere (and can't upgrade to XFMG 2.X)
If not... could this be done with an add-on?
I'm hoping some folks running Xenforo Media Gallery will share their website URL here.
I'm especially looking for examples from sites that:
Have a large member base that use and love the Media Gallery
Have a well thought out organization system
Use EXIF data to add value

I didn't have the PHP EXIF extension installed but it's now installed and working... thanks!
Now trying to find the difference between FILE/COMPUTE/IFD0/EXIF options and looking for a list of what additional items I can store and display. Appreciate all the help.
I'm having trouble with Xenforo Media Gallery EXIF Data:
We installed Xenforo Media Gallery and EXIF parameters are listed as being collected
When I copy the URL of an image and run it through an online EXIF viewer- I can see it
Unfortunately it doesn't appear anywhere on my site for media...
Not a bad idea. I haven't played with Social Groups or the Media Gallery features/add-ons at all. I was hoping to approach this by adjusting the New Thread template, using design tweaks to simply focus by prioritizing photo posting in the UX.
I'm wondering if there are any existing add-ons that would REQUIRE users to upload a photo for every thread they start? The new thread layout would revolve around the act of taking/posting a photo with everything else (title, tags, etc..) being secondary in nature. So... I suppose more...
