Right, when you go to a Thread and use the share icon and choose "copy link" that it renders the URL in a browser. So that should make this feasible if we can get around the security errors.

Are you getting the badge app without clicking going into the site first? Best way to check is when you first see the notification on your iPhone, go and look at the badge before launching. So far this has not worked for me on any site.

Just added this site home page to my iPhone and when I open it the drag down to refresh does work without issue on my end. I'll wait for a reply (notification) to see how that works as well and report back.

Can't say that I know for sure, they do appear only after you open the browser from the saved page. It gives the appearance it's browser related but it's only a guess.
