Depends, if I have a use for it myself sure but I don't have time to create Add-Ons I don't use.

It was in another Forum Software and in XF with custom BB Codes. We have push notifications & alerts in XF so I don't see a reason to have it enabled.

RSS has caused us nothing but trouble in the past and our users don't use it.
