I'd like to know about this also. I run a private forum for two committee groups, each cannot see the other's discussion forum so really want to know if the digest shows ALL topics on ALL forums or just the ones they have access to. Thanks!

Just need to add, Brogan's documents helped me to see the light too...I came from IP.Board so it was a bit of a sidestep once I understood that permissions only really needed to be set in one place as opposed to in groups and forums.

Hi everyone... Ok so I read Brogan's document regarding implementing permissions across multiple user groups, it was most helpful so I spent most of yesterday re-doing all my groups and now it works great and after 3 or so years of actually having XenForo I now understand the permissions...

Ok so just so that I understand specifically the revoke permission... If in a category node a group has a revoke permission on starting new topics yet in a forum node has the ability to start a topic, the higher permission takes over yes?
