XF 2.3 User upgrades with no payment profile?

Yeah definitely, might get us being able to use the upgrades for now at least, and if I can convince the guy looking after the PayPal account to upgrade to a business plan then we can use that instead and be future proof.

XF 2.3 User upgrades with no payment profile?

Ah I didn't even look at the legacy one! I noted it was deprecated so didn't even try it, but that might be worth a shot. And yep, this is simply so I can do manual upgrades when people donate, and use the timer to remove the upgrade after a year to encourage them to donate again.

XF 2.3 User upgrades with no payment profile?

Not at all, using an actual payment provider doesn't really work for what we need. Setting up a Stripe account requires a bunch of info that just isn't really relevant for this forum, we're a bunch of motorcycle enthusiasts and there's no business etc. associated with it.

XF 2.3 User upgrades with no payment profile?

Looks like no one has any input in this one. I might see if I can figure out how to do it when I get some time.

Update a domain in existing content?

Cheers, I had a feeling direct DB manipulation would be the way to go, and I'm pretty comfortable with PHPMyAdmin so no worries there.

Update a domain in existing content?

We've had to change the domain for our forum as the old one expired, and unfortunately the guy who registered it has health issues causing memory loss, and wasn't able to do anything about transferring ownership, and so we have migrated to a new domain. Ideally I'd now like to go through our...

XF 2.3 User upgrades with no payment profile?

Our forum runs on donations, and I have a PayPal Me link setup in a sidebar widget for our members to use to donate. We don't have a business PayPal account to upgrade to, so I can't enable the PayPal payment profile to setup the user upgrades that way, and all I really want to do is take...

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

Ok, some more searching and fiddling and I'm now onto a winner, so for completeness here is the final check_user.php code: The final .htaccess file: This now does exactly what I need.

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

I haven't solved this yet, but I think I can now see where this is all going wrong, which is how I'm validating a user is actually logged in which determines if they are redirected to login or not. I don't believe this check is valid: Looking through the developer docs etc. now to see if I can...

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

After all that today, I can't get the "simple" .htaccess redirect based on the cookie working, and further searching around on here has led me to implement a PHP script to properly use XenForo authentication to protect this directory. However, I'm still having trouble getting the redirect back...

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

If this was sensitive information or similar, then yes, 100% agree. In this instance though, it's just basic protection to discourage randoms from downloading the PDFs etc.

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

Ah thanks! Yes, sorry I should've mentioned this is XenForo 2. That doesn't make it work, but where can I find info about using things like _xfRedirect? I looked through the user manual and couldn't, where else should I be looking?

How do you bring back users who are no longer active?

I'm curious to see what others think of this too. Our forum is very quiet, and it's always been a little quiet, but since changing domains (we unfortunately didn't own the original domain and the original owner has health issues and isn't contactable) it's gone deathly quiet, with just a few...

Protect non-XenForo directory with XenForo login

I'm not sure of the best forum to ask this in, and I suspect my lack of understanding of terminology may be limiting my ability to find what I'm looking for as I suspect my question is likely already answered (but I can't find it). I have some resources on our cPanel server in a separate...
