I think the speed and the minimality; while still being feature packed, is one of the most interesting features about XenForo.

I guess an overall ignore or block system would work better in this situation; so not only do you block people you don't like from following you, but you also don't see their annoying posts either.

I think what matters more is for the forum to work well even without JavaScript enabled. I personally think JavaScript, and indeed JQuery, should be used to enhanced an already working website. So, basically, the forum should be usable with or without JavaScript enabled.

I think the best thing, for a split opinion like this, is to have it as an admin option. Personally, I like this feature, but it's not so important that it'll change my mind about buying this product or anything. :P

Nope, not really. As long as you have a paid license, then I see no harm in installing another copy on a local machine (with installs like XAMPP and MAMP) making sure that the development is not done on a live system.

I do think a team page option is getting a bit overused in most bulletin board systems. A better way to do this is to, as said above, make a custom page where you have some detail about the staff. I've never really noticed them until you've brought the point up - that just shows how useless they are. Also, a great alternative to this is thread prefixes, but even these still look 'clunky' in my opinion.

Anyway, if you think it's a huge concern, then simply change it to somewhere different. :P

This is true. This is also why the 'lite' versions have features that developers think will attract a member into buying their products.
