I figured it out... It ended up being under "Edit Forum -> Advanced Options -> Allow new messages to be posted in this forum" The box was unchecked and it had nothing to do with permissions, which was a little confusing.

I would like to set up an Archive section where I will move old, closed threads. I would like the node itself to be visible, and the count with the number of threads it contains, but I do not want the individual threads to be visible to regular members (just to admins/mods). Is this possible?

I would like to restore everything to default, except the three mentioned above.

Gosh I'm not sure how to word this to properly ask my question. But will give it a try: I would like to reset my forum settings, but I do not want to lose the custom appearance, threads, or members. Is this possible?
